NOUVELLES GÉNÉRALES / 16-12-2024
Grupo Arania, steel processing leader, announces a new stage in its managerial structure which take effect from 1 January 2025. This transition process reaffirms the Group’s commitment to internal promotion and strategic continuity, key pillars of its success in recent decades.
After 18 years at the helm of the organisation, Carmelo Bilbao, the current Executive Vice-President will leave his position on 31 December 2024. Carmelo will remain linked to the Group in his position as a Board Member, contributing his experience and knowledge accumulated during a career which has been key to the growth and transformation of Grupo Arania. "His leadership has led us to become what we are today: a benchmark in the sector. Carmelo has not just been a colleague, but also a teacher for many of us," commented the current President of the organisation, Eric Arana.
As of next year, Alberto Lejarreta, current CEO, will take up the position of Executive Vice-President. With 19 years of service in the Group, Alberto has been a key part in the consolidation and expansion of the organisation. For his part, Marc Bosch, who has worked in the Group for 17 years as Purchasing Director, will take over general management as the new CEO, contributing his experience and strategic vision.
This leadership transition is part of Grupo Arania’s internal promotion policy, a strategy that has allowed us to strengthen organisational continuity and cohesion. "We have wanted to maintain the current structure, which includes the Executive Vice-Presidency and General Management, a model that has proven its effectiveness in recent years. The growth and complexity of our organisation make this decision a firm commitment to the future," said Eric Arana, President of the organisation.
The Group is convinced that, under the leadership of Alberto Lejarreta and Marc Bosch, and with the support of the entire team, it will continue to reap successes and confidently face challenges.
"As we usually say: alone we can do little, but together we can do a lot. This is our collective commitment, and this is the spirit that will continue to guide Grupo Arania in this new stage," concluded Eric Arana.
