What began as a modest project, with barely 100 people —the majority women— has evolved into an international industrial group specializing in steel processing, with more than 1100 people, 4 business units, 6 production plants (one in Slovakia), subsidiaries in Europe, and North and South America, and an R&D+i centre. Boldness, enthusiasm and commitment have always been our hallmarks of identity. We believe in people and the strength of teamwork. Our goals focus on promoting sustainable growth and a culture centred on caring for our stakeholders and the environment. .innovation .people .sustainability .adaptability .transparency .honesty On June 10th, Arania Group hosted the in-person meeting of the UNESID Sustainability Working Group at its facilities in Zamudio, bringing together representatives from leading companies in the steel sector. Grupo Arania has won the Dataton Euskadi 2026, organized by BAIC (Basque Artificial Intelligence Centre), with an AI application project focused on carbon footprint analysis. The project was developed jointly by Aratubo and Inentum. “It is only with committed, highly trained staff that we have been able to reach these levels of development and innovation.” The CO₂ saved are equivalent to the carbon absorbed by 2,600 trees in a year, or to preventing the burning of 24,500 liters of gasoline. Ana Guinea, Sustainability Director: “Sustainability is something we have to build together, otherwise, it won’t happen”. “We are now big enough to compete, and we are currently in the process of reviewing our model to make it more efficient.”
