Grupo Arania announces important changes to its organisational structure, strengthening its management team to successfully meet future strategic challenges. These appointments reflect the group’s commitment to operational excellence and the continuous development of its key areas, counting on professionals with a proven track record in the organisation.
In the Purchasing Department, the current corporate management will be divided into two separate areas: one focused on Business and the other on Management. In this context, Unai Bizkarrondo, whose career in Grupo Arania started in November 2007, will take up the position of Supply Chain Director. His extensive experience in operational management will be essential to optimise the logistics and supply processes in all the group’s companies. For his part, Jokin Gago, who joined the organisation in January 2024, will be the new Purchasing Director. Under his leadership, this key area will continue to be developed to maximise efficiency and profitability.
Also, from 1 January, Javier Mugica, the current Materials and Supplier Development Director in the Purchasing Department, will take on new tasks as Supply Development Director. In addition to continuing to work on the development of suppliers for all the group’s companies, he will take on new strategic responsibilities related to raw materials and other key products. In this new role, Javier will lead key projects for the group’s growth.
In line with this restructuring, Grupo Arania has created a new strategic area. From 1 January, Xabier Ortiz de Murua, presently Operations Director of the company Aratubo, will take up the position of Strategic Projects Director. Having been in the group since 2006, Xabier will be responsible for driving key initiatives for the innovation and growth of the business.
All these changes strengthen Grupo Arania’s commitment to more flexible and efficient management, positioning the team to lead new challenges and consolidate its leadership in the steel processing sectoro.
