What began as a modest project, with barely 100 people —the majority women— has evolved into an international industrial group specializing in steel processing, with more than 1100 people, 4 business units, 6 production plants (one in Slovakia), subsidiaries in Europe, and North and South America, and an R&D+i centre. Xabier Ortiz de Murua will lead the new Strategic Projects Department, and Javier Mugica will take up new duties as Supply Development Director. After 18 years leading Grupo Arania, Carmelo Bilbao is leaving his position as Executive Vice-President, but will remain closely linked to the Group as a Board Member. Alberto Lejarreta will become the new Executive Vice-President and Marc Bosch the new CEO of the Group from 1 January 2025. “With this partnership, Lamincer is going to compete on the market with the Arania Group as an equal.” “AR Shelving is committed to the growth of Grupo Arania through the launch of new business initiatives.” Arantxa Tapia, Minister of the Basque Government’s Economic development, Sustainability and Environment Department, together with Mikel Amundarain, Vice Minister of Industry, visited Arania.
